April 1st may be Fools' Day, but it's also the start of the 2014 Fishing season. Among the updates from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife people comes this tidbit:
Brown trout now live in self-sustaining populations below McPhee dam. The bag and possession limits for browns have been lifted from  Bradfield Bridge to the Utah state line.

SO If you haven't yet driven the Scenic Byway from Norwood to Gateway, CO (close to where the Dolores River crosses the Utah State Line), you're missing out on a unique and astounding stretch of river canyon driving. So this is one more reason to put this one on the To-Do list.
