Miramonte Reservoir Well known in Colorado for its excellent stock of rainbow trout, Miramonte Reservoir is the perfect spot to fish near Norwood. Boaters are also welcome. Miramonte is the ideal place to spend a day away from it all with your family. And don’t forget the sunscreen!

Lone Cone Mountain Visible from Norwood’s quaint streets, the Lone Cone stands to the south at 12,000 feet and is destination for hikers throughout the region. It is also known for the best hunting in the region.

Located only 35 miles away, Telluride is bursting with activity all year long. Hit the slopes in the winter and save on your lodging. Bring your mountain bike in the summer and ride the mountain trails. Whatever season your find yourself here is sure to be a fun-filled one!


San Juan National Forest

San Juan National Forest is full of ATV trails, hiking trails, mountain biking trails and off-road jeep trails. Locals and visitors alike enjoy traversing the snow-covered countryside on snowmobiles throughout the winter months as well as trekking out on snowshoes to discover what the landscape has to offer. It is also well known for its hunting.




Galloping Goose - The town of Telluride provides public transportation from Norwood to Telluride everyday.
